Wednesday Wins

Part three.

Hey, friends!

Here’s a little reminder that no victory is too small to celebrate—no matter how quirky it might seem. This week’s win? A haircut! I know, it sounds trivial, but hear me out. I’ve been avoiding this simple task for far too long. Every day, my hair grew a little bit longer, and the thought of making an appointment felt like climbing Mount Everest. But when I finally took the plunge and sat in that chair, I was amazed at how much lighter I felt—both physically and mentally! It was almost comical to realize I’d procrastinated over something so easy.

Now that it’s done, I’m reveling in my fresh look and a sense of accomplishment. Which got me thinking—why do we do this to ourselves with other tasks? Whether it’s schoolwork, work projects, or anything else, we often put off things that seem intimidating or overwhelming. Yet, just like my hair dilemma, the task usually turns out to be far easier than we imagined once we face it head-on.

When it comes to academic tasks, procrastination can be a serious foe. Deadlines won’t magically disappear just because we’ve hidden them away in the back of our minds. And more often than not, once we actually sit down to do the work, it’s a breeze and takes hardly any time at all.

So, friends, the next time you find yourself dodging a challenge, take a moment to remember this:

  1. Ask for help! There’s no shame in seeking guidance. You’re never alone in your studies.

  2. Take a step back! Sometimes, taking a brief break can do wonders for your focus and energy. A quick reset can help you dive back in with a fresh perspective.

  3. You’ve got this! You are smart, capable, and hardworking. Whatever task is on your plate, I promise you have what it takes to knock it out of the park.

Now, go tackle that to-do list with the same confidence I have in my new haircut!

I am so happy you’re here.
